Francisco

Drums / Vocals

San Francisco, CA

At the tender age 7, Francisco was already banging on the walls creating something of a beat. It was not until his father, Jon (Founder/Manager of The Aura) noticed Francisco's feel for the groove so he bought Francisco his first drum set at a local Costco. From there on, Francisco was the drummer of his family band, with his dad being the guitarist and his brother Kiko playing bass. Following this, Francisco discovered his ability to sing and even play the drums at the same time. A God-given talent that he still progresses in. As you can see, Francisco grew up in a very musical background. His father always played rock music in the house in the likes of The Eagles, Dire Straits, Bon Jovi, and Journey. Francisco also took one on one lessons for drumming at the Vibo School of Music for 5 years and even formed a band there. Eventually, his father took started up a band of his own. From there, the band progressed into what is now The Aura today.

Ricky

Keyboards

Vallejo, CA

Ricky was introduced to the piano around 6 when kids from next door invited him to take-up piano lessons along with them. The allure of playing ball outside with the other boys became stronger & interest in continuing his lessons eventually stopped. Then, at around 12, the same neighborhood kid introduced him to the guitar. Appreciation for music grew along with access to musical instruments in school & community. Pretty soon, Ricky found himself participating in music activities & events both in the community & school. He learned many other instruments as involvement with, & influenced from, other musicians became more extensive.

While a large part of his life was mainly focused on his career in science (as a computer-vision engineer), involvement in music is mostly through participation in Church services & programs, until a joint event between Church & local community had put him in contact with secular musicians. On 2012, he eventually joined a band that would become his entry into the world of music performances & show bands.
